Most DEI training names the harm. Mine repairs it.
I help organizations move past the one-off workshop by building inclusive leadership, addressing bias and racism honestly, and using restorative practices to repair relationships that conflict has damaged.
Awareness is where my work begins, not where it ends
Every engagement I run builds two things at once. The understanding your people need to recognise what is happening around them, and a practical process they can use the moment that understanding is tested.
The second part is the one that matters. Understanding runs out. Somebody says something that lands badly, the room goes quiet, and everyone reaches for a policy. Your team is left holding a rule when what they need is a way back to each other.
That is what restorative practice gives them. A structured conversation where the person who was harmed says what happened and what it cost, in their own words. The person responsible listens without defending, then speaks to it. Together they agree what repair looks like, in writing. I hold that process, and I come back to check it happened.
Policy can tell you which rule was broken. It cannot put a team back together, connect people, or build relationships.
I have lived it. I have experienced it at every level of an organization, from the front line to leadership, as both audience and participant.
I have sat in rooms where exclusion happened and nobody said anything. I chose not to stay silent, because I know what it feels like to have the door shut on you.
That does not make me a saint. I have been guilty of the very same things, in moments where my awareness did not serve me well. The truth is, we are all guilty somehow. The problem is when we refuse to see it, or refuse to acknowledge it.
Workplace Culture Risk and Readiness Check
Most organizations do not discover their culture is a liability until a complaint, a resignation, or a human rights filing tells them. This finds out first.
Twenty-eight questions across three sections, scored out of 56, with a banded result you can take to your leadership team. It takes five to ten minutes. Section B is where most organizations discover they are exposed.
Do it twice. Complete it yourself, then have someone two levels below you complete it independently. The gap between the two scores is usually the most useful thing this tool produces.
Tell me where to send it and you will receive two documents.
1. The Culture Risk and Readiness Check. The full twenty-eight question assessment with the scoring key and what each band means in practice.
2. Your Next 90 Days. A companion plan that turns your three section scores into a staged set of actions. Sent separately, once I have seen where you landed.
Your email is used to send these two documents and nothing else. No list, no sequence, no reselling. A structured reflection tool, not a legal audit. Statistics drawn from Pollara Strategic Insights, Statistics Canada and Employment and Social Development Canada.
Real culture change, not a slide deck people forget by Friday
Restorative Justice for Workplaces
For when something has already happened. I facilitate structured conversations between the people involved. The person harmed says what happened and what it cost them, in their own words. The person responsible listens without defending, then speaks to it. Together we agree what repair looks like, in writing, and I come back to check it happened.
Very few consultants are trained to do this work. It is the reason organizations call me back.
Executive and Leadership Programs
For senior leaders, directors and boards. Inclusive decision making, the patterns that keep leadership tables looking the same, how to hold a team accountable without humiliating anyone, and how to respond when something goes wrong in public.
Half day, full day, or a four session series.
All-Staff Training
Practical sessions in plain language for whole teams. Bias and how it shows up in ordinary decisions. What to actually say in the moment. Allyship that costs something. Building a culture where people can raise a concern without bracing for the consequences.
Half day or full day, in person or virtual.
Youth and Schools
Bright, activity based workshops for children and young people. Identity, belonging, difference and repair, taught through stories, games and art rather than lectures. Built with teachers and youth workers in mind, and grade banded.
Ninety minutes to a full day.
Keynote Speaking and Panel Moderation
Story-driven talks on belonging, mental wellness and the immigrant experience. I hold space for hard topics and keep a room honest, warm and moving forward.
Conferences, staff days, community events.
Ongoing Advisory
A monthly relationship rather than a single booking. Policy review, a confidential line for your leadership when something comes up, quarterly check ins, and someone who already understands your context when you need advice on a Tuesday afternoon.
Minimum three month term.
Rates start at $2,500 for a half day. See full pricing ›

Why me
I hold a DEI Consulting Certification and Restorative Justice Facilitator training, which is a combination you will rarely find.
Before Canada I was a Regional Consultant and Program Coordinator for UN Women across East and Southern Africa, running gender equality and economic empowerment programming that reached more than 400 women and young people.
In Canada I led teams and managed volunteers at The Mustard Seed across Edmonton and Kamloops, running programs in homelessness, addictions, women's empowerment and legal aid for incarcerated youth. I went on to serve as Senior Manager at Connective Support Society, and worked with youth at risk at Axis Family Resources.
I founded the Valid Dreams Foundation in 2022, and I was named a winner of BC's Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Awards. I have produced two TELUS-funded productions, Black Light Unveiled: Choose Life and Fierce Colourful Conversations, both broadcast on TELUS Optik TV.
I have run organizations, not only advised them. When I am in a room with your leadership team, I have sat on their side of the table.
Before you get in touch
We have done DEI training before and it did not stick. Why would this be different?
Because most training ends at awareness and gives people nothing for the moment awareness runs out. The restorative practice piece is what makes it hold. Your team leaves with a process for repair, not just a new vocabulary.
Some of our staff are resistant. Will this make it worse?
Resistance is usually fear in a different coat. Fear of being called a bad person in front of colleagues you will see again on Monday. I do not run rooms that shame people. I have watched the most sceptical person in the room become the most engaged by the afternoon, more than once.
Do you travel?
Yes, regularly, and further afield for multi day work. Travel is quoted separately.
We are a small non-profit with almost no budget.
Tell me anyway. I mean it.
Something has happened and we need help now.
Get in touch and mark it urgent. I keep room in my week for this.
What it costs

| Engagement | From |
|---|---|
| Half day workshop (3 hours) | $2,500 |
| Full day training (6 hours) | $4,500 |
| Four session leadership program | $12,000 |
| Restorative justice facilitation (per matter) | $3,500 |

| Monthly advisory retainer | $2,500 / month |
Every figure includes discovery, materials built for your organization rather than pulled off a shelf, and the ninety day follow up. Retainers run on a three month minimum. Travel is quoted separately.
Non-profits, schools and small community organizations, please talk to me anyway. I hold room in my calendar for organizations doing good work on thin budgets, and I would rather find a way than turn you away.
Most BC employers can have 80 percent of this covered
The B.C. Employer Training Grant covers up to 80 percent of workplace training costs, to a maximum of $10,000 per employee.
In practice, that means a full training day listed above at $4,500 may cost your organization closer to $900, with the grant covering the rest. Eligibility depends on your organization and the fiscal year, so confirm before you budget on it.
I mention it because budget is the most common reason organizations delay this work, and quite often the budget already exists. It is simply sitting somewhere they have not looked.
If you have been meaning to do this and the number was the obstacle, tell me. I will walk you through whether your organization qualifies, whether or not you end up hiring me.
Tell me what is going on
Twenty minutes. Tell me what is happening in your organization and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person for it. If I am not, I will say so and try to point you somewhere better.
