My Story
My journey into advocacy and community engagement began with a deeply personal and transformative experience. Not long ago, I found myself in a profound, unfamiliar darkness, far from the world I once knew as home. Yet, through a powerful awakening, I chose to embrace life and live fully. This pivotal moment redirected my path, motivating me to support others who may feel similarly trapped. I became committed to sharing my journey and insights, aiming to illuminate, empower, and inspire both my local community in Kamloops and beyond.

I’m a passionate advocate for inclusion, community empowerment, and social justice. With over 12 years of experience spanning corporate, non-profit, and business development sectors, I’ve dedicated my career to bridging cultural divides and fostering understanding among diverse communities.
My career started in Kenya, where I served as Manager at Al-Ginza Automobiles and later as Regional Consultant and Program Coordinator for UN Women. I began my journey in Canada as a Programs Coordinator with Mustard in Edmonton, Alberta before transitioning to the role of Basic Services Manager at Mustard Kamloops. I developed a deep connection with the Kamloops community, which led me to further opportunities here, such as my previous role as Senior Manager at Connective Support Society. Currently, I proudly serve as the Executive Director and Founder of Valid Dreams Foundation, dedicated to fostering inclusivity and empowerment in the Kamloops region.
I’m also deeply passionate about leveraging art and media for social impact. I collaborate on various projects, including films, radio shows, and modeling opportunities, to amplify diverse voices and narratives. Through these efforts, I strive to promote understanding and facilitate open dialogue across communities.

Over the years, I’ve been involved in various advocacy initiatives, but founding the Valid Dreams Foundation in 2022 marked a significant turning point in my career.
This organization channels my passions for social justice, sustainable development, empowerment, and equality. It’s dedicated to uplifting vulnerable and marginalized communities, with a special focus on empowering BIPOC individuals to discover their voices and realize their potential.
The foundation embodies my dedication to fostering belonging and inclusivity, fostering cross-cultural and cross-racial connections within diverse communities. Throughout my career, I’ve forged partnerships with governments, agencies, and communities to advance equality and empowerment.
