Fierce Colourful Conversation
Fierce Colourful Conversation is a video podcast about bridging cultural differences and building understanding across them. It is funded by TELUS StoryHive, and it releases in September 2026 on Channel 9, TELUS Optik TV.
The format is simple. I sit with people whose experience does not usually make it into the conversation, and we talk honestly about justice, culture and healing. Some of it is uncomfortable. That is generally the sign you are in the right room.
This is my second TELUS-funded production. The first, the documentary Black Light Unveiled: Choose Life, was released in 2025 on the same channel through StoryHive and deals with mental health and suicide awareness.
Private screenings are available. I bring the documentary to organisations, schools and community groups and stay afterwards to open up the conversation about mental health. Get in touch to arrange one.

In this conversation we take a dive into the different ways people celebrate their holidays from exploring how people celebrate in North America, to Poland to East and West African Parts and so on. We also talk about how ways of celebrating have evolved over the years and it is okay to celebrate in whichever way feels best to an individual without conforming to societal expectations or traditions.

In this episode, Zainab Afro-fusion Restaurant owner takes us through her inspiring journey of passion for cooking from nursing to an entrepreneur and starting an African Restaurant in Kamloops. As a Muslim woman Zainab expresses both her victories, opportunities and challenges of being both an entrepreneur and having to access halal foods.
